Read more of the storyThe Arys curtain is made from organic cotton khadi. Each piece is spun and then woven by hand in a workshop in a small town in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.
With meticulous artisanal savoir-faire and great sensitivity, the cotton fibre is first dyed with natural colouring agents in shades of indigo or charcoal. The threads are then delicately woven together by the hands of female weavers.
The charm of the Arys lies in its exquisite finishing touches:
• A light weave, with small but unique irregularities, to showcase the magic of handmade textiles;
• Alluring fringes that add movement; and
• A golden-threaded selvedge that creates a subtle outline.
Ready to hang, the length of the curtains can be easily adjusted by folding the top of the curtain over and attaching a set of curtain ring clips (10 to 12 ring clips required per curtain).
