Originating from the Persian word guilim (or gelim), the term kilim refers to a special crafting technique whereby rugs are hand woven rather than knotted.

The age-old savoir faire of the Kilim has been reinvented anew in these unique and contemporary pieces:
• Against a white background, a set of black lines appear, creating delicately asymmetrical stripes and setting a fascinating rhythm;
• The boldness of the design is juxtaposed with sober shades, which add a touch of elegance to a design of casual cosiness;
• The outlines of irregular patterns frame and highlight the central motif;
• And the Kilim’s final surprise: its lack of fringing, yet another unique and unexpected detail.
Generously thick, the Kilim rug is made of 100% wool.
